A Traditional stone built house, one of the oldest in the beautiful village of Kalavasos, available for rent. This house is more than three hundred years old. It has been carefully renovated recently to maintain its original Cypriot character features. The house has two large one bedroom apartments which you can rent separately or as a whole unit. Each apartment can accommodate four people as it has a double bed plus a single bed and an extra bed is also available plus baby cot if required. Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen and shower room. Each apartment has a hot / cold air conditioner, ceiling fans and electric heaters are available if preferred. There is a 21 inch TV set in each apartment, radio / alarm clock and iron. There is also a shared washing machine between the two apartments. Enjoy all your fresco meals in the magnificent flower filled courtyard under its two traditional arches decorated with real Cypriot hand-made materials, that you can find everywhere you look in the house, or take a book and climb up the stairs to the two vine-covered verandahs to read or relax, listen to the birds singing, feeling the real atmosphere of the village, away from the noise and stress of the city. At Stratos House you will feel from the first moment the warmth and hospitality of Mrs Panayiota, the owner of the house, who welcomes you with a basket of seasonal fruit and a bottle of traditional Cyprus red wine. The nearest beach is 4km away and Kalavasos is ideally situated for exploring all of the main towns of Cyprus, being a few minutes from the Limassol - Nicosia Highway and approximately 35 minutes from Larnaca Airport. Kalavasos is famous for its water dam, old mine and also some of the most important settlements of the Neolithic period such as Tenta and Choirokitia which were settled in 8200-3900 before Christ.
