Adria Airways is Slovenia\\\'s national carrier and has a rich experience spanning forty years in charter and scheduled flights. Adria\\\'s history began in 1961, when it was set up as a charter company. Today Adria\\\'s network links Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, with more than 40 destinations, mainly in Europe. Currently the company operates some140 weekly flights to the following scheduled destinations: Amsterdam, Brussels, Copenhagen, Dublin, Frankfurt, Istanbul, London, Manchester, Moscow, Munich, Ohrid, Paris, Pristina, Podgorica, Sarajevo, Skopje, Split, Tel Aviv, Tirana, Vienna, Zurich. In winter 2001 the company started operating within EU market on Frankfurt-Vienna route and is in spring 2003 adding Vienna-Munich route. In addition to its scheduled operations Adria Airways also operates outgoing and incoming charter flights, which are mostly seasonal. The most frequent charter destinations are Greece, Spain, Turkey and Tunisia. Adria\\\'s head office is in Ljubljana, with representative offices being located in sixteen European countries. The Adria Airways fleet comprises eight aircraft - three Airbus A320 and five Canadair Regional Jet CRJ 200. These make up one of the youngest and most modern fleet in Europe, a fleet that is economical and environment-friendly, with which Slovenia\\\'s national carrier is further enhancing its services. As a regional air carrier Adria is successfully strengthening its participation in European integration processes. The partnerships with Lufthansa, Air France and Austrian Airlines have by far enhanced Adria Airways\\\' access to their global networks. Thanks to agreements with over a hundred airlines, passengers can travel on an Adria ticket practically anywhere in the world. Adria is a participant of Amadeus, one of the main global distribution systems. The company\\\'s business philosophy is centered on a free market orientation and on the high quality of services. By introducing a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) strategy the passenger is placed at the center of our operation and we try to create the highest possible level of customer satisfaction. We know that quality, understanding and the personal touch are the key to retaining passenger loyalty. Adria Airways is also appointed as the first Bombardier recognized CRJ heavy maintenance facility in Europe. In first seven months in year 2003 Adria Airways carried 469.227 passengers and 2.248 tons of cargo. The company completed the privatization process in March 1996. Current ownership status is: Slovenian Pension Fund 56%, Slovenian Restitution Fund 20%, National Finance Corporation 12%, Zlata moneta d.d. 1%, Infond - Investment Company 5%, Zvon ena holding 1%, Employees 5%. Adria Airways reflects the features of its home country - a small, welcoming land of excellent services. It is opening Slovenia to the world and bringing its people closer to other nations.
